I did all areas of 3d. The helmet is from Final Fantasy 12, Judge Gabranth.
Painted the texture files in Mudbox and Photoshop. Cook Torrance shader in Slim.
Composited in Nuke.
Photograph and HDRI were taken by me as well.
The pictures above are Mudbox screen shots.

Procedural Elephant Skin - Process
This was an assignment for my shader class. I had to do something completely procedural, meaning, no matter what model I apply this shader it will work, and also, with procedural shaders you can zoom in as much as you want and you don't lose detail.
Its used a lot on repetitive things like some patterns that we see in nature.
In this process I start with displacement, then go to color, subsurface, reflection, then in the end I color corrected it.

Finally a new post
I know its being a while since I posted something, but hopefully I can redeem myself. Christmas was great, I took a break to recharge the batteries and come back to school with full energy. It was really nice, got to spend a lot of time with my wife.
Well, this is a model that I worked on a class last year. I did the textures for it but I'm still not happy with them, so I will show what I have so far.
For her I used Maya and Zbrush to model and got the displacement maps out of Zbrush. I've being experimenting with BodyPaint 3d for the textures, really cool program.

trashCan for Meats
This is a prop that will show in the Meats film. The textures are a mix of painted and procedural. I was really fun to do this one.
